I SAID I needed one accumulator to get back in profit and I got it. Unders aren’t a favourite bet of mine but I managed to pick a fourfold paying just over 6-1.
Trebles and the fourfold were advised with five winning bets giving me a profit of 11.5 points. Romania v Greece, Rep Ireland v Georgia, Finland v Faroes and Nth Ireland v Hungary were the games and none threatened to go over.
I went double or quits on the Super Single with Cristiano Ronaldo to score first but he failed to hit the target in Portugal’s 1-0 defeat of Albania (another unders match).
And just a word for Scotland who gave it their best shot but just came up short against Germany in a thriller. It will be tough to qualify now but six points from their final two games could pip Ireland to third.
So a week into September and it’s as if nothing happened with the Super Single level and the accas 1pt up.
Tonight signals the end of six days if Euro 2016 and I’m pretty international sick and looking forward to the resumption of league football with Inverness v Hearts on Friday night.
I’ve posted a separate preview and tips on England v Switzerland and will look at putting up a double or treble in the morning but the next Super Single will be the two already advised on the Jambos.
Again we have short-priced favourites such as Spain, Russia, Belarus and Lithuania with the only games of real interest being Sweden v Austria and Slovakia v Ukraine.
From a betting point of view I’m interested in Montenegro who visit a Moldova side with just two points to their name from 21. They are 1-1 at Betfred and William Hill.
Later this week I’ll be starting a debate on long odds v bankers so watch out for the post.
