GREG’S been quiet this week with international games not his favourite but he’s looking to be back with a bang over the weekend.
I’ll add his selections to the post when I get a chance but watch out for them as comments.
Greg says: As you know I absolutely hate international “fortnight” – delighted it’s now over and we can concentrate on domestic affairs.
I’ve looked through today’s card and there is nothing standing out for me – tomorrow however is a different story and I’ve found a number of matches I really like from the Scottish leagues and a few from England.
Of the games today Nancy and Dinamo Kiev U21s both look strong favourites at home (both 1-2).
And if anyone is looking for a goals bet the Armenian First Division match between Pyunick II v Ulisses II looks decent.
Carlisle v Dag & Red (Sat)
It’s certainly not been dull being a Carlisle fan this season with 30 goals scored in the eight matches they’ve been involved in. Both teams have scored in their four home matches and they welcome a Dag & Red team who I mentioned last week are playing better than their league position suggests.
They’ve beaten both Cambridge and Northampton in their last two away games which were fantastic results. They’ll fancy their chances here against a leaky Carlisle defence but are themselves likely to concede.
Good chance of both teams scoring and that should lead us to goals.
Back over 2.5 Match goals 19-20 (Bet365) (NAP)
Stirling Albion v Montrose (Sat)
The hosts finally got their first win of the season last week with a hard-fought 3-2 success at East Stirling. Prior to that their performances should have yielded more points but they’ll fancy their chances of winning consecutive matches against travel-sick Montrose.
The Links Park men have made a decent start to the season but all of their good work has been done at home on their plastic pitch. Away from home it’s a different story – they’ve won just once in 12 months (17 matches) and have concdeded two or more goals in 15 of those games.
Back Stirling over 1.5 team goals (10-11, Bet365) (NB)
